Anderson’s art returns to Villa Zorayda Museum after first displaying his work at the iconic museum during the city’s 450th Commemoration in the fall of 2015. He made art history by becoming the only artist that has ever been invited to display and sell his unique visual expressions at the exotic home built by Franklin W. Smith in 1883 – the museum was founded in 1933.
“Steven Dean Anderson infuses his work with life and soul,” curator Jim Byals told local Historic City News reporters. “What makes his art even more interesting is the fact that he doesn’t see his work in the same way we do because of his faltering and diminishing eyesight.”
The Villa Zorayda Museum is located at 83 King Street and is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $10 adults, $5 children 7 – 12, and no charge for children 6 and under. More information is available at www.villazorayda.com.
