Florida Agricultural Museum Family Farm Day

Historic City News readers are invited to load up the truck this Saturday, April 16th, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., for a trip to the Florida Agricultural Museum for a day on the 1880’s family farm; complete with beautifully restored antique tractors and hayrides around the museum grounds on a tractor drawn wagon.

The Family Farm Day is an event suitable for all ages. It will feature exhibitions including pine needle basket weaving, spinning, storytelling, live music, historical re-enactors, and more.

This special, fun-filled day will include visits from representatives from “Future Farmers of America”, “Ag in the Classroom”, “Florida Department of Agriculture”, and members of the “4-H Club”, who will be on hand to provide information about their programs and many exciting opportunities they have to offer.

There will be vendors on site with plenty to eat and drink. Admission is $5 per person. Museum members and children ages 5 and under are free. Closed-toed shoes are recommended for your visit.

Florida Agricultural Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization located in Palm Coast, Florida. The museum was established at the request of former Agricultural Commissioner Doyle Conner in 1983 to help preserve Florida’s agricultural heritage. In 1997, the Florida Agricultural Museum moved to its new home on 460 acres in northern Flagler County. The museum’s mission is to preserve Florida’s agricultural past, interpret agricultural issues of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and to educate the public about these issues through enjoyable experiences.
