George Lareau will be Tuesday evening guest speaker
Saint Augustine Tea Party and Town Crier Committee chairman, Lance Thate, has invited interested Historic City News readers to attend tomorrow evening’s regular twice-monthly public meeting when the guest speaker will be George Lareau.
The meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the rear dining room of the Village Inn located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.
Lareau was raised in St. Augustine and reports that he has spent his entire adult life preparing to be our Clerk of the Court. According to his website, Lareau has been working in the St. Johns County Clerk’s office for 32 years. He last served St Johns County residents as Chief Deputy Clerk until the announced retirement of our last elected Clerk, Cheryl Strickland. Lareau chose not to stay on under the newly appointed Clerk of Court, Hunter Conrad; instead he is making his own bid for election to that office.
The program is open to both members and guests, without charge. The Saint Augustine Tea Party is founded in support of a constitutional government that is smaller, less intrusive, and fiscally responsible.
Paid meeting announcement approved and paid for by Saint Augustine Tea Party. Not affiliated with any political candidate or political campaign.
