Yesterday Sheriff’s Detective Samantha English was asking local media for assistance locating a 17-year-old boy who has not been seen or heard from in a month; and today, Historic City News has learned that human remains discovered in a densely wooded area off SR-16 are believed to belong to the missing teenager.
Jesse Noah Stevenson has not been seen since September 2nd. He is described as being 6-feet tall, weighing 150 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes. An autopsy is planned to determine positive identification as well as the cause of death.
Foul play is not suspected, although he was considered endangered due to the length of time he has been missing.
Investigators said they believe he left home with a rifle and did not have his cellphone with him. He has not been seen at school or work and has not posted on social media, deputies said.
Detectives are continuing the investigation.
