Historic City News readers are hereby notified that the unofficial election results from the August 30th Primary Election show a 9-vote difference in the race for County Commission District 3 between Jerry Cameron and Paul Waldron.
FS 102.141(7) mandates a machine recount be conducted when any candidate is defeated or eliminated by one-half of a percent or less of the votes cast in the race.
The St. Johns County Canvassing Board hereby orders a recount for this race to be conducted on September 1, 2016 at 1 PM. The recount will be held at the Supervisor of Elections Office located at 4455 Avenue A, Suite 101 St. Augustine, FL 32095.
The recount is open to the candidates, the press and the public.
