Parking fees suspended downtown through Monday

Posted on 10/12/201610/12/2016 By Historic City News

275-parking-metersThe City of St. Augustine advised local Historic City News reporters that parking fees at all city metered areas, including on-street spaces, parking lots, and the Historic Downtown Parking Facility, have been temporarily suspended.

The city hopes this suspension of parking fees until Monday, October 17th at 7:00 a.m. will encourage visitors and residents to support the many businesses throughout the city during this recovery period.

The suspension of fees applies only to areas where vehicles may park legally, and does not include loading and delivery zones, taxi cab stands, residential parking or privately controlled lots.

Pay stations and meters that were removed prior to Hurricane Matthew are being reinstalled this week.
