Historic City News readers are patriotically invited to attend the General meeting of the St Augustine Tea Party being held Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the Village Inn, 900 N. Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.

With Constitution Day coming up on September 16th, our guest speaker, the distinguished Kenneth F. Wood III, USN (Ret.), will be discussing the essence of the United States Constitution.

“In these perilous times, with the federal government imposing it’s will without regard to the limits placed on it, it is imperative that each citizen have a thorough understanding of the Constitution,” Wood said in his announcement. “The Constitution is the only thing that stands between liberty, as we have known it, and tyranny.”

The meeting is open to the public, and there is no admission charge to attend the program.

Ken Wood is a constitutional trainer and a member of the Jacksonville Oath Keepers. Mr. Wood received multiple awards from the Navy and Marine Corps, throughout his 20 year military career. Before retiring from Naval Air Station Jacksonville in 2013, he served in seven deployments to the Persian Gulf.
