Tuesday-Wednesday Historic Preservation Conference moved

For Historic City News readers planning to attend, the location of the conference on Historic Preservation, Building Codes and Resiliency hosted by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, the City of St. Augustine and Flagler College has been moved.

The conference features 16 speakers participating in presentations and panel discussions covering a wide range of topics including disaster management planning for cultural resources, building codes and historic buildings, and sea level rise. Several speakers from the National Park Service as well as experts in Florida and nationally will participate.

Originally set for The Alcazar Room at City Hall, the conference will now be held in Government House, 48 King Street, on Tuesday afternoon, November 15th, and all day Wednesday, November 16th.

The general workshop is available free of charge to Florida residents and students, but does not include the lunch, professional CEU credits, or the reception and tour. Students and Florida residents who want to be included for the lunch and tour must register at the Florida Trust Member rate of $50.  The cost for non-members is $100. On-site registration fees must be by check or cash.

Attendees wishing to register may do so at the door, but should bring a completed registration form with them.
