ViaAir adds more seats to St Augustine jet flights

Executive Director Edward R. Wuellner reported to Historic City News this morning that ViaAir has added jet airline service on nonstop flights to and from Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Embraer ERJ-145, a premier regional jet aircraft, began flying the St. Augustine to Charlotte route on Sunday, October 2nd and has been well received by passengers.

“We are delighted to see ViaAir has taken note of the fact that people in our region love the ViaAir service,” Wuellner told local news reporters.

And, there was more good news from the Northeast Florida Regional Airport concerning their partnership with ViaAir.

In addition to continuing connecting service to Raleigh Country Memorial Airport (Beckley, WV – BKW), ViaAir now offers supplementary connections to Greenbrier Valley Airport (Lewisburg, WV –LWB) and Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport (Parkersburg, WV – PKB). The new jet seats 50 passengers; up from the 30 seat EMB-120 turboprop. The larger aircraft offers passengers an all jet experience while maintaining the superior customer service passengers have come to expect from ViaAir.

Wuellner told Historic City News, “With these additional seats in our market, I suspect we’ll see even stronger performance between St. Augustine and the cities that ViaAir serves.”
