St Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Vicky Oakes, reminded local Historic City News reporters that the voter registration books for the November 8th General Election will close on Tuesday, October 11th.
In order to vote in this year’s Presidential election, you must be registered before the books close. Don’t let your hurricane recovery efforts distract you from this important step in electing the next leader of our nation. You can’t vote if you don’t register.
“Please call, visit our office, or use our online forms and resources to help you prepare for Election Day,” said Oakes. “Call 904-823-2238 or visit www.votesjc.com and let us know how we can assist you.”
Florida voter registration applications are available online on the Elections Office website www.votesjc.com
You can register to vote at any Public Library, Tax Collectors Office or Public assistance agency.
New voter registrations must be received or postmarked by October 11th to vote in the General Election.
The Elections Office will have extended office hours for Voter Registration as follows:
Monday, October 10th 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday, October 11th 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
