It’s time to get outside and enjoy our beautiful weather in our wonderful city. Get some exercise, meet and greet, walk and talk in your own neighborhood with Mayor Shaver.
Mayor Shaver will be walking in the Fullerwood Neighborhood on Wednesday, April 27th. You can start the walk with her at 6:00 p.m. at the triangle towards the end of East Park, where Rainey and Bayview intersect, or, if you prefer, watch out for her and meet her along the way.
“So far, we’ve had four Walks this year, and they’ve all been great,” the mayor’s walkmeister, Jerry Peters, told Historic City News. “Great weather, great turnouts, and I am so impressed with all the residents who attend. They’re informed, intelligent, decent people.”
Physically seeing and pointing out issues means so much more than sitting in a room discussing them, Peters observed. Mayor Shaver is great at discussing issues, becoming informed as well as informing.
Peters said that going on each and every walk has given him such a great appreciation of living in this beautiful city, with all these wonderful, caring people.
