Rick Scott speaks to small business owners

Florida Governor Rick Scott, a candidate for US Senate, stopped by Whetstone Chocolates on King Street this morning on the second day of his 10-day statewide bus tour. 

The Governor was greeted by Henry and Esther Whetstone along with their daughter, Virginia who is President of Whetstone Chocolates, and her husband Bruce Maguire. 

“I appreciate how much Governor Scott has done for all the small businesses in Florida by reducing regulation and creating a spirit of cooperation between government and businesses,” said Virginia Whetstone.  “I know he will do the same in Washington.”

Historic City News business readers and residents were able to spend about an hour speaking directly with Governor Scott as he returned to St Augustine to tour the factory.  He spoke with staff who were producing fudge, chocolates, and gelato.
