Dear Editor:
I am a businessman who has lived and worked downtown over the past fifty years.
I have been asking, for a year or more, about the missing flag that used to be displayed at the location on Anderson Circle; in front of the American Legion hall at the west foot of the Bridge of Lions.
Nobody seems to know what happened, why they stopped, or who’s supposed to put it back.
The city owns the flagpole. They have told me it is a FDOT responsibility. I don’t understand how difficult or expensive it could be to hoist our nation’s flag at one of the most noticeable locations in our city.
