The Historic City News desk received word that Florida Inland Navigational District Commissioner Carl Blow will update city commissioners Monday night on plans to dredge the St. Augustine Inlet.
Under a five-year maintenance plan with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, dredging will occur in areas where shoaling has hampered boating.
Last fall, the Coast Guard marked an area of the inlet after serious shoaling caused several vessels to run aground or suffer hull damage.
If you are planning to attend, the regular meeting of the St. Augustine City Commission will convene at 5:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room on the first floor of City Hall, located at 75 King Street.
