Republican Party elects new officers

The St. Johns County Republican Party recently elected new Board Members to serve for the term 2011-2012.

“These next two years will find it is a promising time for the Republican Party,” said 2011-2012 Chairman Harlan Mason. “We are seeing positive effects of the conservative principles which we hold so important coming to pass. Our membership is excited to enter the 2012 campaign season with a new Headquarters and many opportunities to get involved.”

The current board members of the St. Johns County Republican Party are:

Chairman – Harlan Mason
1st Vice Chair – Sean Mulhall
2nd Vice Chair- Roy Alaimo
Treasurer – Bob Veit
Recording Secretary-Eric West
Corresponding Secretary-Randy Covington
Member at Large – Gary Howell

The Republican Executive Committee meets every 2nd Thursday at the Conference Center of the Northeast Florida Regional Airport at St. Augustine, located at 4730 Casa Cola Way in St. Augustine. The next meeting will be March 10, 2011 and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Republican Party also opened a new Republican Headquarters on San Marco Avenue.

“The volunteers are making phone calls and it is becoming filled with material from candidates making the 2012 ballot a reality already,” said Becky Reichenberg, St. Johns County’s State Committeewoman for the Republican Party. “We are having great conversations with voters around the county who are looking forward to the elections in 2012.”

Reichenberg thanked the many volunteers who donate their time to the party; giving special recognition to Jerry Dixon and Henry Green for use of the office space, Congressman Mica, Senator Thrasher, Representatives Proctor, Renuart, and Weinstein for their financial contributions towards establishing a full-time headquarters.
