2009 FOUNTAIN MERCURY KING BUSTER 400
Put your fishing skills to the test in the premiere Southern Kingfish competition of the year – with over $175,000 in cash and prizes! The King Buster 400 is limited to 400 boats and is based at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. There are Captains’ Meetings on Thursday at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Fishing days are Friday and Saturday. There will be a party with live music Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and prizes will be awarded Saturday evening. Tournament entry fees are $449.50. Lady Anglers register for free. GTM RESEARCH RESERVE TRAIL WALK OF GUANA
Trek on over to the GTM Reserve to experience a fun and educational stroll through the upland trails located within the Reserve. The guided walk will cover approximately one and one-half miles round trip. Bring water, bug spray, and wear closed toe shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the Guana Dam trailhead pavilion by 8:15 a.m. The walk is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Admission to the park is $3 per vehicle. The GTM Reserve is located at 505 Guana River Road, Ponte Vedra Beach FL, eight miles north of Vilano Beach. Space is limited. Call the Research Reserve at 904.823.4500 for reservations.

CLASSIC CRUISERS AND CONCERT
Join in the fun during this Classic Cars Show and Concert that is part of the City of St. Augustine Beach’s 50th Birthday Celebration. The cars that cruised the beach 50 years ago combined with great classic rock and roll are sure to create a nostalgic return to summers long-remembered. At 1 p.m., a parade of classic cars will leave the PUBLIX shopping center at 1033 A1A Beach Boulevard and proceed to the St. Augustine Beach Pier Park where they will be on display throughout the afternoon. At 5 p.m., the Grapes of Roth classic rock band will take the stage at the park pavilion. In addition to the entertainment, lots of delicious food will be available. Admission is free. BIRD WALK AT FORT MOSE
Come explore the boardwalk, see the rookery, and visit the new education building at Fort Mose during this fun and informative walk. Open to the public, the walk is adaptable to birders of all levels. Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars and a field guide if you have one. Participation in the walk is free; park entrance fee is $2 per vehicle and $1 for individuals who walk in or bicycle. The walk takes place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. weather permitting. Fort Mose Historic State Park is located off US 1 North just north of the city limits at 15 Fort Mose Trail in St. Augustine. For more information, call 904.823.2322
NOTE: St. Johns County residents with a valid ID are always admitted free of charge to Government House Museum, the Lightner Museum, the Colonial Spanish Quarter Museum, the Fountain of Youth, the Ximenez-Fatio House, the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, and the Spanish Military Hospital Museum and the Father Miguel O’Reilly Museum. The daily tours and wine tastings at the San Sebastian Winery are free to everyone. Also, admission is free to everyone at the Authentic Old Drug Store, Fort Matanzas National Monument, St. Photios Chapel, the Peña-Peck House and the Father Miguel O’Reilly Museum.
