Chapter President, Patsy Wilson, announced to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Regional Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS will be hosting its 7th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament on May 2, 2011 at Marsh Creek Country Club.
The proceeds from this charitable event support both Habitat for Humanity and the Women’s Council.
Wilson said, “This event is fun and has been a huge community success.”
The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness. Houses built by Habitat are sold without profit or interest added; as need –not profit– is the motivation. The income received from the sold houses is used to build simple, adequate, low-cost homes for families, the elderly, and the disabled in need in St. Johns County. Since 1994, Habitat for Humanity of St. Augustine and St. Johns County has provided a safe, decent home to over 72 hard working families.
The Women’s Council of REALTORS, also a non-profit organization, is a community of real estate professionals which supports education, business opportunities and skill development for achieving an individual’s potential for success. The Women’s Council of Realtors is supported and funded by members and local sponsors, such as you.
If you or your company would be interested in becoming an event sponsor, please contact our Golf Tournament Sponsor Coordinator, John Whitsell by phone at 904-797-7442.
