Stephanie Lippincott reported to Historic City News that the Junior Woman’s Club is setting up for the Midnight Mad Hatter Volleyball Tournament to raise money for their club’s service projects.
The First Annual Midnight Mad Hatter Volleyball Tournament will start at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the St. Augustine Beach Pier.
This event serves as a fundraiser for the Junior Woman’s Club of St. Augustine to continue their support of community service organizations in St. Johns County.
The Tournament will feature 4-person co-ed (at least two women must be on each team) volleyball teams who will play one another in Division A & B double elimination tournaments. The top 3 teams in each division will be awarded prizes from local businesses. This will be a fun-filled event with food, drinks, local arts & crafts vendors, music and more.
Spectators are invited to attend free of charge.
Registration is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event. Players can form their own team or join one the day of the tournament. Deadline for advance registration is Friday, July 17.
