Diane Katz Santarelli who resides at 268 N BARTRAM TRAIL was arrested today on (4) liquor possession counts, (1) count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and (2) counts of negligent manslaughter according to information distributed to Historic City News.
At a press conference hosted this afternoon by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on behalf of their agency, the Florida Highway Patrol and the State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, Historic City News learned that Santarelli is being held in the St. Johns County Jail pending $202,500.00 bond under the (7) count indictment handed down from the St. Johns County Grand Jury.
Between September 26th of last year and January 12th, Santarelli is accused of fostering an environment that enabled minors to consume alcholic beverages to excess, mixed with the use of marijuana and nitrous oxide (“whippets”).
Santarelli, who is 51 years old, was present and participating in the illegal activities according to statements obtained by the investigators.
It is alleged that Santarelli’s actions led directly to the death of 17 year-old Taylor Brennan and 18 year-old Jessy Pitts when Pitts lost control of his vehicle shortly after leaving a party at Santarelli’s residence.
