Flagler County Sheriff’s spokesman Debra Johnson informed Historic City News reporters that last night at about 6:30 p.m., 51 year-old William Jordan attempted to kill his ex-wife; ramming her vehicle repeatedly with his van.
Jordan’s ex-wife, Judy Kiziukiewicz told deputies that she and Jordan have been divorced for nine years; but, they continued to live together because of Jordan’s health issues.
On another occasion since their divorce, Jordan set the house on fire; according to Kiziukiewicz. Since that time, it is not unusual for her to drive by the residence or stop to be sure that the house is “intact” which is what she told police she did last night.
Apparently infuriated that Kiziukiewicz was in the company of another man, he followed her vehicle past his residence. When she reached Mango Avenue, Jordan rammed Kiziukiewicz’s car, several times. The woman told deputies that when she pulled her car into a driveway, Jordan drove his van into the rear of her car, causing the car to turn onto its side.
Jordan lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree on the property.
When deputies arrived at the scene, Jordan first resisted their demands to exit the vehicle. He eventually got out and was taken into custody.
No one was seriously injured in the incident. After being medically cleared at Florida Hospital Flagler, Jordan was transported to jail. Jordan told deputies at that time he was upset because his ex-wife was with another man.
“This man endangered an entire community when he crawled behind that wheel and began driving while he was angry,” said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming.
Jordan, who resides at 1916 Laurel Avenue in Daytona North, is facing domestic violence, aggravated battery and attempted murder charges. He was in custody at the Flagler County Inmate Facility this morning; in lieu of $45,000 bond.
