Florida Public Archaeology Network Outreach Coordinator Amber Grafft-Weiss reported to Historic City News that the Department of Anthropology of Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Outreach Coordinator.
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for K-12 outreach efforts for a Southeast Florida public archaeology center.
Event publicity and public relations skills required.
If selected for employment, you will assist in development of outreach programs for diverse populations and collaborative relationships with organizations in Southeast Florida.
There is extensive travel in the 4 counties of Southeast Florida – Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
A Bachelors degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years experience is required in public outreach, education, or heritage tourism.
