According to a construction notice from Paul Williamson with the City of St. Augustine, Department of Public Affairs, received by Historic City Media today, the Public Works Department will be removing and replacing portions of broken and damaged sidewalk along Avenida Menendez beginning Monday, May 12.
Parking along the curb may be unavailable between Bridge Street and King Street during the construction period — which may last through the end of the month. Use extra caution while traveling in the affected area.
Without further notice while the construction continues, the city may place traffic cones along the curb during concrete removal, concrete pours or as necessary to alert pedestrians and drivers as to areas where parking is not allowed.
If you have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at 825.1040.
