St. Johns County Health Department Director and Health Officer Dawn C. Allicock, M.D., M.P.H., reported to Historic City News that the Sterling Showcase of Best Practices will be held by her office in the coming weeks.
Scheduled for Wednesday, November 4th 2009, at the County Health Department main location, the Sterling Showcase of Best Practices will offer insight into the St. Johns County Health Department’s Sterling journey and their ongoing pursuit of excellence.
For 17 years, the Governor’s Sterling Award has recognized organizations and businesses in Florida that have successfully achieved performance superiority within their management and operations.
“The purpose of this showcase”, according to Dr. Allicock, “is to raise awareness about the importance of quality and performance excellence as a competitive edge, and to highlight the St. Johns County Health Department’s practices and procedures that assisted us in winning the 2009 Governor’s Sterling Award.”
The showcase is intended for organizations interested in learning the Sterling process and management model for performance improvement.
“Attendees will learn our best practices for organizational improvement that enabled the St. Johns County Health Department to qualify as a recipient of the Florida Governor’s Sterling Award.” Dr. Allicock said.
Organizations should send CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Supply Chain Officers, Quality Managers, Senior Human Resource Staff, and Senior Strategic Planning Staff.
