Historic City News received an update from Cash McVay that the Lincolnville Community Garden has enjoyed the support of an amazing group of business sponsors and volunteers who have come together to help build out the infrastructure of the community garden.
“So far, we’ve installed the perimeter fence, education pavilion, irrigation and raised garden boxes”, McVay said. “We’ll be building the tool shed next, and then installing fruit trees within the edible grove.”
Visit citysprout.org to see photos and commentary on all their progress, as well as the impressive list of business sponsors and volunteers that have made this project possible.
CitySprout had a booth at the Lincolnville Festival last Saturday selling CitySprout t-shirts to raise money needed to complete the tool shed. You can still pick up a t-shirt to help support the garden.
“Be the seed, sprout a garden”, said McVay.
