As part of an overall effort by The Florida Bar to instruct young adults regarding employment, consumer protection laws, voting and many more topics, Mirieth Valenciano told Historic City News that a publication designed to help new adults understand their rights and responsibilities is now available.
“The Legal Guide for New Adults” is published by the Law Related Education Committee and is a reminder to senior high school students that when you had your 18th birthday, you became an adult by law.
During the current school year, the Bar has distributed more than 184,000 guides to 771 public high schools in Florida, Valencia said.
