The Florida Highway Patrol reported to Historic City News that a 35 year-old service advisor for Bozard Ford Lincoln in St Augustine was killed when she lost control of her vehicle in a 2:25 a.m. single-car accident.
Christina “Chrissy” Price, was killed in the early morning crash that occurred on New York Avenue at Gossamer Road; west of DeLand.
The Edgewater woman, crashed her 2006 Toyota into a utility pole. She reportedly died at the scene. Troopers are still trying to determine why Price lost control of the vehicle — no word yet on whether alcohol played a part in her death.
Price, who was born on June 17, 1976 in Oscoda, Michigan, was a Class of 2010 graduate with a Health and Fitness Certification from Ashworth College. She came to St Augustine to work for Lighthouse Toyota as an Assistant Service Manager in September of 2005; where she remained employed until accepting a position as Service Advisor at Bozard Ford in July 2010.
She would never know how prophetic her facebook quote would be, writing, “Life is short… live happy and healthy…and love as much as possible.”
Price is survived by her father, Richard Kowalczyk and Karen Braley Kowalczyk, her stepmother; her grandmother, Sandra Kowalczyk; Brother, Brian Price; three sisters, Kaylee Kowalczyk, Karen Kowalczyk, and Kelsey Kowalczyk.
