Nadeau, who lived on Mickler Boulevard at St Augustine Beach, had been a registered St Johns County voter since 1974 — a privilege she never took lightly.
Nadeau was a member of the St Johns County League of Women Voters and a registered Democrat. Although she may be remembered as comfortable while arguing her case before public boards and commissions, she recognized the power of the ballot box and always managed to vote; either in person or absentee, according to records obtained from the office of St Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Vicky Oakes.
After moving to St Augustine from Gainesville, almost forty years ago, friends and neighbors have recalled that Robin, and her late husband Bernard, became active in the local community. Nadeau was a member of the St. Augustine Beach Tree Board, NAACP, and was honored with the DAR National Conservation Medal in 2007.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
