City expands area affected by water outage
Jade Nicolay, Public Works Department Administrative Coordinator for the City of St Augustine, told local Historic City News reporters that, due to an unanticipated problem with one of the valves, the water outage for the area north of King Street has expanded.
The City initially notified residents that they could expect an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. today, in an area limited to east of North Ponce de Leon Boulevard and north of King Street.
The affected areas have been expanded to include:
• Orange Street – between North Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Riberia Street
• Riberia Street – between Saragossa Street and Orange Street
This water outage is required as part of improvements to the water main in the area.
