St Johns River State College informed local Historic City News reporters that Anna Lebesch, Ed.D., was recently recognized by the University of Florida for her effectiveness as a community college administrator and participant in college-wide strategic planning.
Dr. Lebesch is one of eleven recipients of an “Outstanding Graduate Award” selected from a nominee pool of thirty candidates. Each candidate was evaluated earlier in the month by a panel of leading higher education professionals from the Community College Futures Assembly organization.
During the St Johns River State College February Board meeting, University of Florida Director Dale Campbell presented Dr. Lebesch with her award.
The Institute of Higher Education presents the awards every five years.
Nominees who hold either a Ph.D. or Ed.D. from the university’s higher education administration program are competitively evaluated; based on their community involvement and professional activities at the state, regional and national levels.
Lebesch earned her Doctorate Degree in Education from the University of Florida last year and currently serves as Vice President for Workforce Development at the state college.
