Historic City News will be watching when two action items requiring the approval of money come on for hearing tonight at the City Commission meeting for the City of St Augustine.
During “staff reports and presentations”, commissioners will receive an update on the status of the Historic Downtown Parking Facility together with a request for $60,000 to be transferred from the General Fund reserves to pay for Light Emitting Diode fixtures.
During a presentation to the Commission from Mike Davis, Vice President – Home Again St. Johns, will ask for financial support of the homeless initiative. Davis is expected to request a contribution of $7,500 from the City,
If you are planning to attend — the regular St. Augustine City Commission meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday and will be held in the Alcazar Room; on the first floor of City Hall, located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine. It will be broadcast live on Comcast Government TV (Cable Channel 3) and is streamed over the Internet.
