Local marketing and design firm Old City Web Services, reported to Historic City News that they will host a 90-minute workshop on Thursday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. to provide one-on-one assistance to business owners looking to expand their reach on Facebook.
Old City Web Services’ Facebook Business Clinic will cover several topics including the new Facebook timeline, designing a custom cover photo, adding tabs to the page layout, building a fanbase and creating status updates.
“Facebook is such an important tool for promoting your business online, but we’ve noticed that a lot of our clients aren’t sure how to put it to good use,” said Old City Web Services President and CEO Cecile Nusbaum. “The clinic will give them an opportunity to expand their knowledge about Facebook so that they can feel more comfortable using it and will get more out of it.”
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops; WiFi access will be provided so that business owners can work on their pages along with the Old City Web Services team.
Pre-registration is required for this event including a registration fee of $25 per person. Class size is limited to 12 participants in order to provide personal assistance to each client. Additional dates and times may be announced. The seminar will also be recorded and made available for download in the future.
“This is just the start of our seminar series,” said Nusbaum. “We plan to add more classes and more topics down the road including other social media networks and web tools that can help businesses of all sizes to build their online presence.”
