Stephanie Theresa Singleton-Gilliam, the 44 year-old victim of a stabbing attack inside her home at 241 Duval Street in St Augustine, was a supervisor in the family law division of the St Johns County Clerk of Court.
Earlier today, at 11:00 a.m., Clerk of the Circuit and County Courts, Cheryl Strickland, called together co-workers, friends and media representatives to mourn the murder of one of her deputy clerks.
Stephanie Singleton-Gilliam was remembered fondly during Strickland’s remarks at the courtyard of the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center.
Born in St Augustine, Gilliam attended St Augustine High School; graduating in the Class of 1985, then continued her undergraduate study, graduating in 1987 from Sante Fe College in Gainesville.
Stephanie was married to Frederick Gilliam, Sr., who stands accused of her murder and remains in custody at the St Johns County Detention Facility, without bond.
She leaves behind her children: 22 year-old daughter, Tory; 23 year-old son, Rai Shawn; 15 year-old son, Frederick Jr; and 15 year-old daughter, Fantasia according to her facebook.
