Computer stolen in residential break-in

The local St. Augustine news desk has learned that at about 7:45 Friday morning, Police Officer Frank Shipp responded to the area of the 20th block of Madeore Street to investigate a residential burglary that occurred sometime Sunday between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The victim told police that when she returned home Sunday afternoon, she found the back door and windows to her house open. Every room in the house was in disarray, according to the report. The only item missing was a Dell laptop computer valued at about $300.

Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that evidence was taken from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
