Historic City News readers who have teenage students attending local Middle and High School, are invited to join the Street Light Program every second and fourth Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Solomon Calhoun Center located at 1300 Duval Street in St Augustine.
Billed as a “A Teen Hang-out Spot”, the activities, coordinated by Titerian Fields, Sr., are open to students who must show their school ID card when they enter the building.
Activities at the Center will include music, basketball, games, socializing and dancing, with no drama allowed.
There is no admission charge. The program is sponsored by St. Paul A.M.E. Church, St. Johns County Parks & Recreation Dept., Charmettes, Inc., First Coast Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorrority, Inc., and the Venetian Club.
