The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reported to Historic City News that two tense days are over for the family of an 18 year-old Palm Coast woman who was last seen on Monday, February 22nd, at Matanzas High School.
The teenager, Kimberley Nicole Hope, suffers from a series of health issues including a heart and lung condition. She has been diagnosed with Mobius Syndrome that has caused paralysis to her face and slurred speech. The teenager recently underwent a medical procedure and was taking antibiotics.
Kimberley’s mother, who lives in Volusia County, told authorities that when she last spoke to her daughter at about 7:00 p.m. Monday, she indicated that she might be in the Tampa area in the company of a man she met over the Internet.
Kimberley has diminished mental capacity and is not able to comprehend direction of travel or time.
Shortly after 5:30 this afternoon Public Information Officer Debra Johnson reported that the missing teen had been safely located by the Sheriff’s Office in Flagler County.
