Kevin Kelshaw reported to St. Johns County local news reporters that two suspects are being sought today in connection with a robbery that occurred last night at Adam & Eve on SR 16 west of Interstate 95.
Deputies responded to the business at 7:30 p.m. Monday and spoke to two clerks who stated that the man and woman suspects walked into the store and approached the employees.
The man instructed the two clerks to step away from the counter and told the woman suspect to empty the register.
An undetermined amount of cash was removed from the register and the two fled out the door towards the Interstate.
Two additional witnesses, who were at a nearby motel, observed the two suspects run out of the store and get into a medium blue, newer model Chevrolet Impala that was in the Ramada Inn parking lot.
The white male suspect was about 5’9” tall, 200 pounds, wearing a white hoodie jacket with low riding blue jeans. The white female suspect was about 5’6” tall, 140 pounds, was wearing a gray hoodie with dark colored jeans. Both suspects were wearing blue latex gloves and white masks.
