Pat Greenfield, Secretary of The Republican Club of Greater St. Augustine, announced to Historic City News that their organization will meet on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport at St. Augustine in the former Skybus terminal building.
Refreshments will be served at the social beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m.
Currently announced Republican candidates for the District Four seat on the St. Johns County Commission will be the guest speakers for the evening’s meeting; scheduled to conclude at 8:00 p.m.
Former Commissioner James E. Bryant of Vilano Beach, as well as first-time candidates Joseph Alan Mayhew of Ponte Vedra Beach and John (Jay) H. Morris, also of Ponte Vedra Beach, will each have the opportunity to introduce himself and to speak to the members and guests.
As was done in their last meeting, after brief introductions, the Executive Board will pose questions to the candidates and solicit their answers.
Club President, Gary Bruce told members, “Come socialize, bring a guest and get involved in your local politics.”
The date of the Primary Election for the St. Johns County Commission will be August 24, 2010.
