International artists perform at Celtic Festival

Sherri Cunningham, promotions director for the St Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival, updated Historic City News with the featured artists who will perform live on stage, Saturday and Sunday March 9 and 10, during the activities held at Francis Field; located at 14 West Castillo Drive in St Augustine.

This authentic cultural event features music by international headliners and regional stars performing traditional Irish music, contemporary Celtic Rock as well as Scottish pipes and drums.

The Annual St Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival, presented by Romanza, honors St Augustine’s remarkable Celtic heritage, dating back to its founding in 1565. Not only is St Augustine the nation’s oldest city, but it’s also the first and oldest Celtic City in all the Americas.

Enjoy Highland Games, visiting the Clans, browsing among Celtic vendors and watching your kids have fun.

Gates open at 11:00 a.m. each day; events are scheduled from 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

General admission is $5.00 per day, or purchase a paid Weekend VIP ticket for $40.00, which includes Celtic Festival t-shirt, 2 beer or wine tickets, VIP covered seating, bar and restrooms. Kids under 12 and all active duty or retired military personnel will be admitted free of charge, with current identification. General admission patrons are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket; no coolers, no skateboards, service dogs only.
