Monica Reifeiss reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Interstate 95: Daytime northbound inside lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from SR-207 to SR-16 for shoulder repairs.
SR-13: A 24-hour lane closure is in place for the next two to three weeks for southbound traffic at the Cunningham Creek Bridge for installation of soil-stabilizing columns. Due to noise and vibrations, no pavement drilling is allowed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Also, daytime lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Roberts Road and the Julington Creek Bridge for drain and gutter cleaning.
Also, possible daytime lane closures while a new roundabout is constructed just north of Riverwalk Boulevard. The speed limit is reduced to 35 mph in the construction zone and to 25 mph through the roundabout. SR-16: Nighttime lane closures Saturday and Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Green Acres Road, just east of I-95, to Collins Avenue to resurface. Also, daytime lane and shoulder closures Saturday and Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Toms Road, just west of I-95, to Collins Avenue while a new sidewalk is constructed, for sod delivery and for drainage work.
Also, daytime lane closures Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Collins Avenue and Lewis Speedway Road to clean sidewalks and gutters.
SR-206: Possible daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to work at the Crescent Beach Bridge tender’s office. Traffic will shift to the south in the next few weeks to allow for temporary barrier wall to be installed at the bridge tender’s temporary office. The shift is expected to be in place for approximately five months.
SR-207: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Old Moultrie Road and Interstate 95 to repair sections of damaged sidewalk.
SR-A1A: Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between Mickler Road and Fairfield Boulevard to place asphalt on the roadway shoulders. Also, daytime northbound lane closures between Corona and Solana roads from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction of the new sidewalk.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez.
Ponce de Leon Boulevard (US-1): The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction and southbound traffic shifted to the east from Orange Street to King Street while work is done on the southbound bridge deck at the San Sebastian River Bridge beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 1 through 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2.
The intersections of US-1 with Carrera and Malaga streets are closed for reconstruction and are scheduled to reopen by the end of February. Both streets are accessible from King or Riberia streets. Nighttime lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street for median construction.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to SR-16.
