Community Affairs Corporal Catherine Payne reported to Historic City News that, just before midnight, deputies from the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office were called to the residence at 8485 CR-13 North by the victim of a domestic disturbance.
The caller reporting the crime was the victim of a knife attack.
“We cannot release any information that may lead to the identity of the victim, because it is Domestic Violence related,” Payne told Historic City News this morning.
According to the incident report, 44-year-old Jennifer Michelle George was involved in an argument that escalated to a point when she stabbed and cut the victim who had to be airlifted to an area hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
George has been arrested. She is charged with aggravated battery; a second-degree felony. No bond has been set at this time, according to records on file at the St Johns County Detention Facility in the Neil J Perry Criminal Justice Complex.
