Sheriff’s spokesman Corporal Catherine Payne updated Historic City News on the continuing investigation into the disappearance of a woman that has been missing for a week.
Barbara Parchem was last seen Friday, April 5, in the early evening hours. She is described as 67-years-old, White/Female, 5’03, 100lbs, brown eyes, short-brown hair with blonde highlights.
“Throughout the week, law enforcement officers have conducted searches by ground, air, and off road vehicles,” Payne reported. “No new information has been developed. Investigators suspect no foul play in her disappearance, at this point in time.
Parchem drives a 2005, red Nissan Pathfinder with a heart, in shoe polish, on the rear driver’s side window.
Detectives believe Parchem’s vehicle may have been used on the day she was last seen — and possibly the following day. Witnesses have reported that they saw Parchem’s vehicle Friday afternoon in the area of CR-214 and CR-13 South; near Molasses Junction, Payne told Historic City News.
Friends of Parchem are offering $500.00 to anyone who has information leading to her whereabouts. Citizens who have any information to assist in this case; particularly about the sightings of Parchem’s vehicle, are asked to contact Detective Jeremy Russell (904)209-2193 or Crime Stoppers (888)-277-8477.
