Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Downtown St. Augustine: Daytime road and lane closures from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday for Velo Fest Old City Crit and Festival. Police will direct traffic around closures at King Street, Cathedral Place, Cordova Street, Valencia Street and Sevilla Street. Detoured traffic may use Avenida Menendez, West Castillo Drive and Riberia Street as alternate routes.
State Road 13: Possible daytime lane closures while a new roundabout is constructed just north of Riverwalk Boulevard. The speed limit is reduced to 35 mph in the construction zone and to 25 mph through the roundabout. State Road 16: Daytime lane closures and turn lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Toms Road to San Marco Avenue for sod deliveries, pipe construction, installation of detectable warning surfaces on sidewalk ramps and roadway widening.
State Road 206: Possible daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday for drawbridge work at the Crescent Beach Bridge. No total bridge closures are scheduled for the week of April 15. The first total bridge closure is scheduled from 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26 to 5:30 a.m. Monday, April 29.
