Tomorrow, from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the St Augustine Amphitheatre, Historic City News readers are invited to “party with a purpose” to benefit Steve and Sue Marrazzo of St Augustine during what is being called a “Grand Gesture for Simple Gestures”.
Being billed as a special “back stage” event, there will be no parking in the main parking lot; Amphitheatre staff has asked attendees to enter through the backstage service road — just north of the main entrance and park in the circle.
“I declare tomorrow, Sunday August 11, 2013, National Steve and Sue Appreciation Day,” said Malea Moore Guiriba at Pie in the Sky in Hastings. “They are down to earth, heart and soul kind of folks; we are thrilled to have the opportunity to support them and give back just a smidge of the love they give to us all.”
Admission for the Sunday event is free — but, bring your wallet. You can enjoy cheap eats, cheaper drinks, and live music. Kids will enjoy the bounce house and you will be able to enter a raffle for merchandise, tickets, and gift certificates from
– Simple Gestures
– Matix
– Gypsy Cab Company
– Ned’s Southside Kitchen
– Philosophie Salon
– Coastal Traders
– The Yardbird Cafe
– Juniper Market Prepared Foods
– The Saint Augustine Amphitheatre
– Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
“They have helped us and our community in more ways than I could ever count,” Guiriba said. “Steveo and Sue have been supporters of Pie in the Sky since our inception.”
Amphitheatre staff presenting the fundraiser promise an evening with good people, great times and backstage hangouts.
Bands expected to perform include Glenn Brown and Tom Webb, The Skinny, Hallow, and Swamp Stories. There will be a monster jam session to follow.
