Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that this weekend, police have responded to five different locations in Lincolnville where property was vandalized with graffiti.
The words “Shark Bite” have been written in orange paint on dumpsters, power and phone boxes, mail boxes, ten post office vehicles and stop signs.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that the property damage is over $1,800 and police are asking for the public’s assistance.
“Please help police identify the persons responsible and help us keep this historic neighborhood clean,” Stevens said.
If anyone has information that would aide police in the investigation, please call the St Augustine Crime Stopper Tip Line at (904) 209-3482.
