Detectives with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office have attempted to identify and locate the man responsible for the theft of a $2,500 ocean paddle board for nearly two weeks without success; they hope that Historic City News readers will come forward with the clue that will help solve this burglary.
According to detective Jeremy Bouchard, images of the thief were captured on video surveillance at 1:00 a.m. on November 6, from the victim’s home in the 500 block of Ponte Vedra Boulevard .
“We can observe the man who committed this crime as he approaches the residence and carefully removes the paddle board from behind a cabinet where it was stored,” Bouchard told local news reporters. “The ocean paddle board is white with green and yellow patches.”
If you have any information about this burglary or can identify the white male, approximately 18-22 years-of-age, with large tattoos on his right leg and right arm, long light colored hair, and possibly wearing eyeglasses, you can remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward by calling CrimeStoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-(888) 277-TIPS (8477).
