A 44-year-old St Augustine man was stopped by St Augustine police officers this week because the vehicle he was driving matched the description of a car used in a theft from Target. A computer check on the driver, David Albert Turner who resides at 142 Dory Road in St Augustine, revealed that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Turner has been arrested 15 times, according to the police department and records on file at the St Johns County Detention Facility. Turner was taken to jail, booked, and released after posting a $1000.00 appearance bond.
Mary Lloyd, 35 of Jacksonville was stopped and cited for driving without her seatbelt, she was also given a Notice to Appear for Possession of Marijuana, less than 20 grams.
A victim reported that that $200.00 worth of make-up was missing from her car. The only place her car was left unattended or not locked was at the Showboat Car wash. There are no witnesses or suspects.
A victim reported that she observed two children in her 2010 Kia Soul that was parked on Nesbit St. As she ran out of the house the two juveniles were seen riding off on bicycles. Missing was her I-Pad 2 valued at about $900.00.
The manager at the CVS Pharmacy on North Ponce Boulevard reported that a sixteen year old had stolen $44.00 worth of make-up from the store. Officers made contact with the grandmother of the juvenile who was made aware of the situation. The teenager was transported to the county jail.
