Today’s Recommendations

St Johns County voters go to the polls today to select who will be their government representatives for the next two or four years; as has been the tradition for years, Historic City News has published its recommendations based on our observations of the candidates and an informal vote of our Editorial Review Board, our Editor, and our publisher.

There are a number of other local organizations and individual pundits making their recommendations public this election year; in the press, on personal blogs, and through social media websites like facebook, twitter, and Linkedin.

We thought we’d remind you of ours and local newspaper, The St Augustine Record.  Our citizens are the people that matter when you vote, not the candidates for public office.  We only ask, whoever you vote for this year, that you take a moment to look into the qualifications of the candidates so that you can “vote smart” and then, actually go to the polls and vote.
