Investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the assistance of Historic City News readers in locating a 35 year-old St. Johns County resident who was last seen at her residence on July 31st.
Shannon Marie Hawkins is described as 5’05” tall weighting approximately 135 lbs, brown or redish-brown hair and brown eyes.
Hawkins has left the family residence for extended periods of time in the past; however, Hawkins was reportedly despondent around the time of her disappearance over two weeks ago.
When Hawkins’ husband reported his wife missing, he told deputies that he has had no contact her since the 31st. Sheriff’s public information officer Chuck Mulligan reported that Hawkins is classified as “Missing or Endangered”.
The family vehicles were all accounted for at the residence, so it is unknown how Hawkins left the area. A check with family and friends revealed that no contact with Hawkins has occurred since the 31st of last month.
Detectives have conducted an initial field search that included a K-9 search of a nearby wooded area, without success.
