Obituary for Matthew Fisher Chrest
Matthew Fisher Chrest, 19, passed away on November 25, 2014. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and spent most of his life in Marriottsville, Maryland where all who knew him loved him.
He moved with his family to St. Augustine, Florida where he has resided for the past six years. He graduated from Pedro Menendez High School, attended St. Johns River State College, and worked at Creekside Dinery.
Matt loved life. He lived it to the fullest absorbing all the experiences life had to offer. He especially loved surfing, skateboarding, scuba diving, and hanging out with his many friends and family.
Matt was a very compassionate, caring and giving person who brightened others through his unending support, optimistic demeanor, and love of life.
Matt was preceded in death by Joseph D. Judge, Sr. and Roy Chrest, grandfathers, and is survived by his parents, David and Donna Chrest and sibling Marie Chrest; grandmothers, Barbara Judge and Mary Chrest; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Linda Chrest, Joe and Leslie Judge, Ashley and Clay Williams, Evan Judge, Colleen Goodman, Doug Judge, Nancy Judge, Ryan, Morgan, and Nick Vandenberge, Katherine and Mary Stockford, Darin, Barbara, Olivia, Jacob Sanner and Ryan Scaggs; Charles Judge, and Keith, Mary and Julia Jackson.
Visitation will be held at Craig Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Prayers and sharing will begin at 4:00. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Flowers are gratefully declined.
Matt gave his selfless gift of life through his organ donation to five recipients. He is a bright light that will always shine in our hearts.
