Denver Cook guest speaker at local Tea Party

Historic City News readers are patriotically invited to attend the General meeting of the Saint Augustine Tea Party on Tuesday evening, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. when the guest speaker will be St Johns County community activist Denver Cook.

The monthly meetings are free of charge and open to both members and guests. They are held at the Village Inn located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.

Cook was a candidate for St. Johns County Commissioner District 4 in the 2014 Republican Primary and he is still active in our community. He believes that an educated electorate is necessary to have an effective and responsible government.

Tuesday evening he will share his view on many fundamental issues facing us in St. Johns County as Commissioners are now debating raising the sales tax, property tax, and the gasoline tax.
